SeeingU is a couples and relationship companion app. Current features include email registration and login, Sign in with Apple, onboarding, avatar upload, media selection, chat, location sharing, and reminders.
This policy applies to information collected through the app and support communications.2. Information We Collect
We may collect:
- Account information, such as email address, Sign in with Apple information, nickname, birthday, gender selection, avatar, and session data.
- User-provided content, such as avatar images, uploaded media, memory entries, checklist content, chat inputs, and other content submitted through the app.
- Device and technical information, such as app version, operating system, device type, locale, language, timezone, network information, crash or diagnostic information, and push notification tokens when enabled.
- Support records, including messages and attachments you send to [email protected].3. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you when you register, sign in, complete onboarding, upload content, send messages, or contact support.
- Automatically when needed to authenticate sessions, deliver notifications, maintain security, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- From Apple if you choose Sign in with Apple, subject to the information Apple makes available.4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Authenticate access and restore sessions across launches.
- Provide core app features, including profile setup, avatar upload, chat, memory and checklist features, and notifications.
- Maintain service security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve product quality.
- Respond to privacy requests, support questions, and account issues.5. Permissions
SeeingU may request certain device permissions:
- Photos and videos: to upload an avatar or send media.
- Location: to share your current location in chat or use location-enabled features.
- Notifications: to deliver reminders, alerts, and service-related messages.If a future version of the app uses platform tracking permission for a specific purpose, SeeingU will request permission where required by law before enabling that activity.6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only as reasonably necessary:- With service providers that support authentication, hosting, file storage, content delivery, push delivery, analytics, and customer support.
- With platform providers such as Apple when you use platform sign-in or device-level services.

- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.7. Storage and Retention
SeeingU stores certain account and session information locally on your device so the app can restore login state and onboarding progress. Information may also be stored on SeeingU systems or service provider infrastructure for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.8. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- Update certain profile information in the app.
- Sign out at any time.
- Manage permissions in your device settings.

If you use Sign in with Apple, some permissions can also be managed through your Apple account settings.9. Children
SeeingU is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The current onboarding flow is designed for users who are at least 18 years old. If SeeingU learns that personal information has been collected from a person below the applicable age threshold without proper authorization, the information may be deleted.10. International Processing
SeeingU and its service providers may process information in jurisdictions outside your home country or region. Those jurisdictions may have different data protection laws.11. Security
SeeingU uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of the service. No system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.12. Changes to This Policy
